Tony Kassander grew up in the Johnstown area and started doing lawn care as a teenager taking care of lawns for neighbors. After moving to Northern Virginia as a young adult, he learned the ropes in the grounds care industry while working for a large company in suburban Washington, D.C. After gaining this valuable experience, he returned to the Johnstown Area and continued to work in the industry before starting Empire Lawn Care in 1996, while a student at St. Francis University and raising a family. After graduating summa cum laude with a B.S. in Business Administration, Tony felt that his best career path was to use his business education and experience and continue to apply it towards his business. Over 25 years later, Empire Lawn Care is still serving the Greater Johnstown Area under the same core principle - To provide service that exceeds our client expectations at a price that is reasonable for the quality of service received, while providing sustainable employment for our staff and management, and maintaining our position as a responsible member of our community.
